Abstract

Information technology-based educational media and technology are growing rapidly. The learning mode is increasingly enriched with several digital applications and platforms to facilitate learning activities at all levels of education. One platform that is developing rapidly for educational purposes is one based on Metaverse. Many young millennial and Z generation users utilize their smartphones for communications and online teaching. This study examines the experience of high school teachers in using cloud spatial service. 80 high school teachers were involved as respondents in this research. Their experience in using cloud spatial platforms was collected through an online questionnaire distributed via WhatsApp group (WAG). The analysis tool used in this research is a user experience questionnaire (UEQ) that is collected by using online Google Forms. The results showed that all UEQ categories scored in a positive range. The highest score is in the “Stimulation” category, while the lowest is in the “Perspicuity” category. The benchmark value of the Metaverse application platforms indicates that the Spatial application has a rating scale that is on the scale of “above average”, “good”, and “excellent”. Suggestions that can be taken from the results of research are that the Spatial application in general has been very good in providing experience for its users, Things that need to be improved are in terms of the “Perspicuity” of the application.
